These terms are the simple rules for using DiveLook™ (divelook.com), run by DiveLook.
By using the site you agree to them. The most important points:
- Free to start. Anyone can read the site. Asking needs a free account on the Standard plan; Pro is optional.
- You decide. Answers are AI ideas from DiveLook's own purpose-built engines, not professional advice.
- Play fair. No harmful, illegal or abusive use, and no attempts to break the service.
- Cancel anytime. Pro can be stopped in a few clicks from My Account.
1. Who can use DiveLook
You can use DiveLook if you are 18 or older, or 13 to 17 with permission from a parent or guardian. It is
not meant for children under 13. By creating an account, you confirm this. You need to accept how we handle your data (see the
Privacy Policy) before you can ask a question.
Asking questions, viewpoint chat, the help chat Pearl, the Assignment Planner, the Task Planner, the Conversation Planner and buying Pro are available only in the countries
where the AI services behind DiveLook may be offered. Everywhere else you can still read the whole site and
try the example answers. A Pro subscription you already have can be managed or cancelled from anywhere.
2. What DiveLook does
DiveLook uses artificial intelligence to look at your question from different angles. Think of it as a
thinking partner: it shows sides you might miss and helps you think things through when a situation feels
hard or unclear. It does not give you a final solution or tell you which path to take.
Personal details in your question are hidden and safety checks run before any AI sees it. The Topic AI
Engine for the topic angle you chose then has independent AI Viewpoint Engines (built on
OpenAI models) write the viewpoints, which are reviewed and checked again before you
see them. These engines are DiveLook's own, purpose-built and backed by its knowledgebase on how people make
choices; how they work inside stays private.
The free Assignment Planner breaks an assignment brief down into an outline: what the question asks, what to
look for in your reading, and the parts, each with a word budget. It does not write the assignment for you: a
plan never has finished paragraphs, filled-in facts or arguments, or references, and each starting sentence is
left unfinished on purpose. Personal details are hidden and the same kind of safety checks run as for
questions.
The free Task Planner turns a task you have not started, or got stuck on, into a plan:
one small first move, the steps in order with how much effort each part takes, what you will need, and
what to do if you get stuck. It plans the steps but does not do the work for you, and it does not help with
medical, legal or investment decisions. Personal details are hidden and the same kind of safety checks run
as for questions.
The free Conversation Planner helps you plan a hard talk with someone you know, at work, in study, with
family, friends or a partner: how to start, the points to make, questions to hear their side, how to cool
things down and how to end it well. It gives talking points, not a script: it does not write
letters, emails or messages for you, it does not help pressure, trick or guilt-trip anyone, and it does not
give medical, legal or investment advice. Personal details are hidden and the same kind of safety checks run
as for questions.
3. You stay in charge
DiveLook's viewpoints are AI answers, made by DiveLook's own AI engines to help you think things through from every side. Like any
advice, they are a starting point: they don't know every detail of your life, they can be wrong, and they
don't replace a qualified professional (legal, medical, financial or mental health) when you need one. You
decide what to use and what to trust. The final choice is always yours.
The same goes for the Assignment Planner: a plan is planning help built on research-based guidance, and the work you hand in must be your own.
Follow your school's, college's or university's rules on using AI, and say how you used it when they ask. A
plan can miss what your course expects, so check important work with your teacher.
A task plan is planning help too: you decide which steps to take, and anything that costs money,
touches your health or has legal effects is worth checking with someone you trust or a professional first.
A conversation plan is planning help too: you know the other person best, so change anything that doesn't
sound like you. If you are afraid of someone, your safety comes first: talk to someone you trust or a support
service before you plan a talk with them.
In crisis or thinking about hurting yourself? Please call your local emergency number now
(112 in Europe, 911 in the US) or a crisis line. You can find one at
findahelpline.com.
4. Fair use
To keep DiveLook safe and fast for everyone, please don't:
- use it for anything illegal, harmful or hateful, or to harass, deceive or pressure other people;
- try to break, overload or get around its limits and security;
- send large numbers of automated requests, or copy or scrape the site;
- try to trick the AI into ignoring its rules or revealing its instructions;
- use DiveLook's answers to train or build other AI tools, or try to copy or take apart the AI behind it;
- ask for sexual content, or use it mainly for questions about sex;
- enter other people's personal data without a good reason, or very sensitive personal details.
Questions and answers are checked automatically, and requests that break these rules are blocked. If the
rules are broken, we may limit or close access.
DiveLook is not for sexual content. A question with a sexual side is answered only when that side is a small
part of a real situation, such as a relationship, trust or a choice. Questions mainly about sex, and sexual
health matters that need a doctor, a clinic or a counsellor, get a short note instead of an answer. Answers
always keep a calm, professional voice, whatever words the question uses.
Each plan includes a daily number of answered questions and, counted separately, viewpoint chats;
Pro also includes live web checks, and only checks that search the web count. The current numbers are
on the Pricing page and in My Account. Every count starts again every day at midnight UTC.
Unused questions, viewpoint chats and web checks do not carry over. When the whole service is under very heavy
use, new questions or viewpoint chats may be paused for a while to keep it running for everyone.
Stopping an answer
before it is ready ("Stop", or closing the page) is free 3 times a day; after that a
stopped answer counts, because it is still written.
To stop misuse, extra limits can apply to brand-new accounts; established accounts and Pro are not affected.
The Assignment Planner is free with an account: using it needs a free one with a confirmed email address, and
anyone can see its example plans, which were prepared in advance. Standard and Pro each include a daily number
of assignment plans, counted separately from questions and starting again at midnight UTC; the current numbers
are on the Pricing page, under the tool's form and in My Account. An assignment plan
that is refused or fails does not count. The tool follows the same rules and misuse checks as questions, and
when it is under very heavy use, it may be paused for a while.
The Task Planner is free with an account too, with its own examples and its own daily number of task plans, counted
apart from questions and assignment plans, in the same way and under the same rules.
The Conversation Planner is free with an account too, with its own examples and its own daily number of conversation
plans, counted apart from questions and the other tools, in the same way and under the same rules.
An account is for one person. Please don't share your login details or post them online. Sign-up needs your
own email address: throwaway inboxes and alias addresses (such as name+2@…) are not accepted, and one inbox
can have only one account. An account that looks
shared by many people can, until the next day, ask only from the networks it already used that day.
5. Your account
You can read DiveLook without an account; asking a question or using DiveLook's free tools needs a free one with a confirmed email address. Keep your password safe, and
tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You can delete your account yourself at any time in My Account ("Delete account"); it is closed at
once and deleted for good 30 days later, and until then you can sign in and keep it. A Pro subscription then
stops renewing, without a refund: if you keep your account before the paid period ends, Pro carries on;
otherwise Pro ends with that period, or with the account if that comes first. You can also ask us to delete it for you.
We delete a free account that has not been used for 3 months. "Used" means signing in
or opening DiveLook while signed in. 30 days before, we email the account's address
once with the date; signing in before then keeps the account. Accounts whose email address was never confirmed
are deleted after 3 months without an email. Pro accounts are not affected.
6. Plans and the Pro subscription
- Standard (free). Every account starts here, with the Medium intelligence level and "Ask this viewpoint" (viewpoint chat): short follow-up questions to one viewpoint of your answer about the same situation. Questions about anything else are declined.
- Pro (paid). Unlocks extra features, currently the High and Max intelligence levels (High in DiveLook's tools too), the Live web check and larger daily allowances. New Pro features may be added over time.
- Price. The current price is on the Pricing page and includes tax. Pro is priced in euros and US dollars only: euros in Europe and US dollars everywhere else, based on the country you connect from. The payment page uses the same currency as the Pricing page. If your card uses another currency, your bank may charge for converting it.
- Who sells Pro. Pro is sold through Link, the payment service of Stripe, which acts as the reseller (merchant of record). Link takes your payment, charges and pays the tax, and sends your receipts and invoices. Link's own terms, shown on the payment page, apply to the payment. DiveLook provides the Pro features.
- Renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel anytime under My Account → Plan → Manage billing, or in your Link account at link.com. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails and isn't fixed, your account goes back to Standard.
- Price changes. If we change the price, or take away part of what Pro includes, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change applies to you, so you can decide about your next renewal. If you'd rather not continue, cancel anytime before then and you won't pay the new price.
Refunds. For questions about a payment or a refund, contact Link support (the link is in
your receipt) or email us and we will help. A refund can be given within 60 days of a payment, for example
when you were charged by mistake or Pro did not work for you. Partly used billing periods are not refunded
after you cancel, but you keep Pro until the period ends.
If you don't accept an update. When we ask you to accept an important change to these terms
or the Privacy Policy and you'd rather not, you can choose "Not now" in the update popup and then "End Pro
and get the unused days back". Pro then ends right away, your account becomes Standard, and we refund the
unused days of the period you paid for within 7 days.
Right of withdrawal (EU and UK). If you live in the EU or the UK, you can withdraw from a
new subscription within 14 days of buying it, through Link support or by emailing us. Because Pro starts
right away at your request, a fair share of the price for the days you already used may be kept.
7. Your content and ours
Your questions stay yours. You allow us to process them only to create your answers, as explained in the
Privacy Policy. You may use the answers you receive freely. The DiveLook name, logo,
design, texts, knowledgebase articles and software belong to us, so please don't copy them without permission.
How you may use the name and logo is explained in section 8.
8. The DiveLook™ name and logo
DiveLook™ and the DiveLook logo (the "D" with the gold eye) are trademarks of
divelook.com. We use them for our AI decision-support
software and online service (software as a service, Nice class 42), for software and apps that give access to it
(Nice class 9), and for our articles and guides on making decisions (Nice class 41). The ™ sign shows that we
claim these marks as ours.
- You're welcome to mention DiveLook by name, write about it, review it and link to
divelook.com, as long as what you say is accurate and doesn't suggest we made, back or endorse your work.
- Please don't use DiveLook, or a name, logo or domain that looks or sounds like it, for
your own app, AI tool, website or business in these or related fields, or present anything as made by us or
connected to us when it isn't.
- Thinking of a similar name? Write to us at
support@divelook.com before you launch or file anything. Most clashes
are easy to avoid when we talk early, and we're glad to help.
We ask for this so people always know when they are using the real DiveLook. Please respect the name, just as we
respect yours: use that could confuse people, or that builds on DiveLook's name and reputation, is not permitted.
9. Availability and changes
We watch over DiveLook around the clock and keep improving it, but it is provided "as is", and we can't promise it will
always be available or error-free.
Changes to the service. DiveLook is a small, growing service, so features will be added,
changed and sometimes removed. If a change affects the Pro price or takes away part of Pro, or if we plan to
close DiveLook, we'll email you at least 30 days before, so you can decide about your next
renewal. If we close DiveLook, Pro members get their unused days back. Sometimes we may need to pause or stop
part or all of DiveLook straight away, for example to keep it safe, to follow the law, or because a service we
depend on stops. If that happens, we'll tell you as soon as we can.
Changes to these texts. We update these terms, the Privacy Policy and the consent text from
time to time. Each one shows its version and the date it was last updated, and we keep a copy of every
version. Small changes, such as clearer wording, only change the date. When something important changes, we
ask you to accept it before your next question:
- If you accepted our texts in the last 25 days, you see a short list of what has changed since then.
- Otherwise, or without an account, you read and accept the full current version. We don't show older change lists, so the current text is always complete on its own.
Until you accept, you can choose "Not now" and keep reading the site, or delete your account in My Account.
Pro members can also end Pro straight away and get the unused days back (see section 6). With an account, your choices are
saved with it, so your other devices follow them.
10. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on DiveLook's answers, or for
indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer protection law.
11. Law, disputes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If something goes wrong, please contact
us first at support@divelook.com and we'll do our best to sort it out.
If you live in the EU, you can also turn to the consumer dispute body in your country.
